In 1986, the family the three King Brothers, George Jr., Barry, Darryl along with their dad, George Sr., decided to have a little friendly BBQ cook-off. It was after that competition that many who tasted it inspired Barry to continue making his sauce and giving it away. Through the years the rich mesquite flavoring and velvety brown-sugar taste, topped off with a "kick" made everyone who tasted it want to know how they could get more. In 2007, Barry approached Darryl about starting a sauce business. In February 2007 and Brothers Sauces was launched with Barry’s original barbecue sauce, Brothers GOLD. Brothers GOLD was a 2008 winner in the Fiery Foods Challenge, 2007 Tennessee State Fair and the Mobile Alabama Cook-Off. In June of 2008, Brothers Sauces introduced a new sauce, Brothers HEAT, a Gourmet Chicken Wing Sauce. All sauces are authentic Texas-made products. The latest product, Brothers Spicy Brown Mustard GOLD, a Texas Hickory-Sweet Gourmet Barbecue Sauce was launched in June 2008.
