WELCOME!! To our BBQ World

We would just like to take this time to welcome all of you who will take the time to read, post and stay abreast of what people are saying about our sauces. We hope if you have tried our products you have loved them as much as we have loved creating them and bringing them to you. It is AMAZING that something that was created some 20 years ago is now being enjoyed in homes across America. It is quite humbling. When we are out in stores and see a jar (or sometimes 2 or 3 jars!) of Brothers Sauces in a shoppers basket it always brings a smile to our faces! We also want to thank the many customers who in a cult-like fashion have made our sauces their "sauce of choice". Our growing success has been created by you. And to the specialty retailers and gourmet grocers that have welcomed us to their shelves and end caps (that 60 case end cap in the Central Market-Fort Worth and the "foodies" support has been AMAZING!) and helped spread the word to their customers on a daily basis we say THANK YOU!

Well, if you have not tasted Brothers Sauces (Brothers GOLD, Brothers HEAT and NEW Brothers Spicy Brown Mustard GOLD) I would not wait much longer. People ask us all the time "Are your sauces the best?". We simply answer by saying, "That's up to you", and quoting our tag line ⎯“Taste buds don’t lie. Never have. Never will".

So again, welcome aboard and please add your comments on and uses of Brothers Sauces. Moreover, remember, we just make it...our success and all the rest is really up to you, and your taste buds.

Thanks,

Barry & Darryl King of Brothers Sauces

Seeing how I'm in the bloodline of you gifted and talented Brothers, I felt compelled to leave the first comment on the fresh batch of blog!! Much love to you all for sharing these wonderful gifts of Brothers Sauces with the world, as you all can rest assured that each and every taste bud your product comes across has gained a new and grand flavor of life!! It has been said that food is the rarest and highest of art forms because it is the only creation that appeals to all five of the senses -- taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing. When I hear and smell the sizzling of the meat fusing with the Brothers Gold in a skillet or on a grill, when I see the smoothness of how the Spicy Mustard effortlessly rolls out of the jar into a small bowl for pretzel-dipping pleasure, or when I taste the Brothers Heat on a freshly fried chicken wing and feel the warmth and satisfaction it brings to my heart and stomach, I know with everything in me that Brothers Sauces is art at its highest degree. My taste buds have already spoken for me: "It doesn't get much better than Brothers Sauces." And like you all say: "Taste buds don't lie. Never have. Never will."

I count myself fortunate to have actually attended one of the famed cook-offs between the King brothers and their dad several years ago in Texas. It was an incredible day -- they had been cooking and preparing for what must have been days, each trying to outdo the others with special ingredients and techniques. I knew it was the best barbecue I would ever have. If Brothers Sauces had never been introduced for general sale and I could never have savored them again, I still would have counted myself lucky because I had enjoyed those flavors on that one day.

I was amazed at how exactly the Brothers Gold sauce matched my memories of that day. That it can be produced on a mass scale and made available to all of us on our favorite grocers' shelves is one of the greatest technological and culinary achievements of this (or any) era. Better than the pyramids or the Eiffel Tower or the man on the moon. Better than french fries or Maine lobster, or even the Snickers bar. Yes, yes, I mean it.

Which leads me to ask: Why are you reading this blog? Go buy the sauce. Now. Do I have to repeat it? GO BUY THE SAUCE. And cook with it. And imagine yourself in that backyard, enjoying the best barbecue you'll ever have -- with the best friends you'll ever have. There may be good days, but not many better days.

“The original Brothers Gold Gourmet BBQ Sauce is one of the best I have ever tasted. I really can just eat it with a spoon or on almost anything. It’s a perfect choice for any “pit master” but is also great for gift baskets of all kinds including holiday, corporate, or Texas themed since it’s made right here in Texas.

The new Brothers Spicy Brown Mustard Gourmet BBQ Sauce brings a whole new delicious dimension when putting it on broiled or baked foods such as ham and chicken. And what a treat on a grilled ham and cheese sandwich!

How fortunate we are to have the award winning Brothers Gold Gourmet Sauces in our showroom! I can’t wait for the next new sauce! I hear it’s being developed and will be out soon!”

We sell all the Brother's Sauces @ our store Miscellaneous located at 405 Main Street in historical downtown Grapevine, Texas. We demo the sauces on crackers and heat up a crock pot of BBQ sauce over cocktail weiners. WOW! Our customers RAVE about all the sauces and have a hard time choosing which one to buy! We then get many phone calls when they get home to send more sauce! On a personal note, my son is a picky eater. To quote him, "This is the only sauce I want on my ribs!!!!" It's that good...keep up the great quality and look forward to doing even more business!!!!! You guys rock!

It has been great being back in touch with Barry after twelve years. We reconnected at a Christmas party last year. That is also where I learned the story of Brother's Gold. Without realizing it, Barry gave me the best Christmas gift ever. I bought some Brother's Gold a couple of days later and proceeded to make the best ribs I had ever done to that point. The sauce made all the difference. I really think you could put it on smoked rat and it would be delicious . I thought it was the best BBQ sauce I had ever tasted, that is until Brother's Heat hit the shelves. When I tried the Heat for the first time I just knew this was the only sauce I would ever buy until the day I die. But Barry and his brothers were just toying with me. It was just last weekend at his wife's birthday party that I discovered the Spicy Mustard sauce they have come up with. I guess that will be my favorite, at least until they come up with their next one.
You can't go wrong with any of them.
There is one problem, however, with the Brothers sauces! Some stores are just not smart enough to sell them. It needs to be everywhere. Kinda like when I am done eating something cooked with it. So wake up you big chain stores, it's the best thing out there. Until then I think I'll ask Barry what kind of price I can get on a fifty gallon drum.

Unforgettable. Brothers Sauce is absolutely delicious and unforgettable. I had an opportunity to taste Brothers Sauce at a birthday party. My taste buds were satisfied as soon as the sauce touched by tongue. I am very picky about my barbeque sauce. I’ve gone to many places that sold great barbeque meat, but I quickly became dissatisfied when their sauce was applied. As a result, I’ve never returned. One of the secrets to barbeque is THE SAUCE!!! Brothers Sauce is now my number one choice.

I need to place an order for Brothers Sauce but can't find a number on the website. Can you help with that? I ordered it for my store in Dallas at the Market originally and need another order of this wonderful sauce.

I am a recent convert to Brothers Gold. Barry is the man and has much success lying ahead of his company. Nothing tops Brothers' sauce and I am spreading the word to let everyone know what they are missing out on!

My son has been looking forward to the release of Brother’s Gold since he first tasted Barry’s sauce over a decade ago. Needless to say, we’re all quite pleased we can pay money for it now instead of begging and pleading.

Recently, we hosted an Italian culinary student who I accompanied on a tour of Central Market. As the teacher was guiding the group through, I ran up and excitedly announced, “Look! My friend MAKES this sauce!” The teacher wasn’t amused, so I grabbed my camera and three of the students and had them pose holding a jar. My student began to say something in Italian, but I stopped her and quickly got my shot. Later than night, when I viewed the photo, I figured out what she was probably trying to say. “Hey, Mr. American know-it-all. Don’t you want me to hold the jar so you can see the FRONT of the label?” Sigh.

During a tasting, Brother’s Gold kinda knocked her socks off (as did salsa). It seems that Italians do not appreciate robust flavors, savory spices, or that special tang that makes you go, “Mmm, mmm, good!” But that’s fine. That leaves more Brother’s Gold for us ‘mericans. Good golly Miss Molly, pass me the new gold standard…I believe I’ll have some more! Arrivederci, baby!

Barry, The sauce is awesome! I love to cook but don't have much time to dote over recipes after working all day. So, I gravitate toward quick and easy, but tasty, meals for my family. I poured the sauce over frozen chicken breasts with no additional seasoning and let them simmer for about 40 minutes on the stove. WHEW!! My checken breasts were kicken'. The I used the same technique for Sunday dinner except this time I poured the sauce over a chuck roast and placed in a cooking bag. With no additional seasoning, I let it cook all night on about 175 degrees. WHEWWWWWW!!! My roast was kicken'. All I can say is, the sauce is enough. Next, I'm going to try it in meatloaf.

Oh, boy! Oh bee Oh why! We first encountered Barry and Brothers Sauces a few months back, and have been addicts ever since. It's the sauce of choice for our BBQ Chicken Pizza with whole wheat crust and Gouda cheese....and it's been the condiment of choice for a lot of other goodies. What a great story Barry tells and really gives me hope that anyone can do anything they set their mind to. Yummy, smooth, spicy and versatile...and oh, so addictive! Hope you keep making this stuff for years and years, because I know it's going to become a household staple.

Without question the best sauce of all time. The original is still my favorite, but all the varieties are light years better than anything on the market. I even snack on the stuff by the spoonful! Seriously.

I'm actually eating it on a 1/4 pound bacon cheese dog right now!

Barry, I talked with you at a Brothers tasting at the Market Street in Coppell a week ago. I bought the Heat, chicken wing sauce, and last night, we fried wings. We started with a seasoned (Emeril's bam!) buttermilk marinade, followed by dredging them in a combination of flour, cornstarch, Emeril's seasoning and sea salt. Following the fry, we doused them in your sauce. I have made lots of different chicken wing recipes, baked, grilled, and we decided that these were absolutely the best wings we have ever made. Your wing sauce is "out of this world!" I am looking forward to using the sauce on grilled pork ribs as well. Thank youu for introducing me to your amazing sauce. We will be using it regularly and hope you never quit making it! Anne

Discovered the Brother's HEAT sauce at my local Central Market Fort Worth. One of the Brother's himself was there to serve up the sample. I didn't fully recognize the possibilities of this amazing pepper sweet concoction until I got my jar home. I should have bought more because my whole family raved over the Barbecue Chicken that I served that evening. And then with their scrambled eggs in the morning. I'm going back for more.
All our taste buds were truthful!

First found Brothers Gold BBQ sauce on a side trip to Berne, while in Texas for a conference. It tasted good from the sample jar at the store and was highly recommended by the store clerk. Well, the weather finally warmed up enough in Ohio to BBQ outside. We went through the jar in 3 days of grilling, just my wife and I. I've never ordered a case of BBQ sauce before, until today. This BBQ sauce is great.

We had just been introduced to Brothers Sauces a few weeks ago at Market Street in Frisco, where we first tasted the BBQ sauces! We were immediately hooked. We have used it for pizza sauce and a slow roasted pork shoulder and anything else these "boys" can think of. The original sauce was a perfect compliment to the roast! We were blown over! Thanks "Brothers" for sharing your sauces with us!

I remember the first time I ever taste the BBQ sauce about 6 years ago. I was slapped in the mouth by the taste. "WOW" I said. Have you ever had a moment in life when something so great happens to you that you can’t find a single word for what just happened? This was one of those moments for me. I'm willing to bet a ton of money that this is the best sauce ever made in HISTORY. I joke with my wife a lot about trying to get this sauce on tap in my house I could see it now Brothers Gold 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 day a year. This is truly sauce from the soul and to the soul brothers that got me hooked keep up the good work, keep putting your foots in these recipes and keep my taste buds humming.

I been savoring the sauce ever since i met Darryl at the King in 2005 and after personally tasting Darryl's cooking for the same amount of time, the one thing that never changes is the quality of food and the passion behind the BBQ
I don't know Barry, (saw his photo once) but I am a friend of Darryl's and for those of us fortunate enough to be invited to his home for the best Christmas dinner since my mother died, (sorry) Darrel,
If you don't have access to a store that caries this great sauce order on line, you won't be sorry.
I however am fortunate enough to have a local grocer that carries it.
Darryl you are the King of the BBQ, not to mention a great friend.

I first tried your sauce at Costco and I want to buy another big jar of it again. We've already gone through both of them. I can only find the little jars in stores. Are you guys planning on demo-ing your sauce anywhere again? or is there any way to buy it in the big jar again? I will seriously drive hours to buy your sauce in that big jar again. We go through the little ones way too fast!

Hey Darryl. Good to see you again at AJs in N Scottsdale yesterday. You guys have a great product and we are truly enjoying the Brothers Gold for sure. If you werent there doing some demos awhile back i may not have ever picked up a jar from the wide selection of sauces on the shelf, but I am fully glad i found you that day, and plan on using your sauces for years to come. Keep up the good work!
Best regards,
Wayne

What I don't understand is how the heat waits and waits then tops it all off. It's like an elixir, not too sweet...ymmm.

I've forgotten what ketchup and other bbqs tastes like, never want to use any other sauce than the Gold.

While I was in the US Navy i stayed in touch with my best friend Ian and he told me that his Dad is now in the BBQ Sauce Biz. Growing up with Ian and my other best friend DJ i heard lots of stories about Barry King's BBQ Sauce. Summer 2009 i moved back to Grand Prairie TX and on July 4th Ian Stopped by my parents BBQ pool party to drop off some Brothers Gold. He told me to grab a spoon and taste it. I swear i have never tasted a sauce so rich and sweet. Right then and there i got a plate and added Brothers Gold BBQ Sauce to my BBQ pork sandwich. From that moment on i was hooked. I ate Brothers Gold on everything and i mean everything. I even tried it on waffles and let me tell you it was good. August 22,2009 A day i will never forget. My mom spent all day cooking a big meal. She made fried pork chops, green beans, candy yams, and some good corn bread. As soon as i made my plate i knew that i was going to need my Brothers Gold BBQ Sauce. I went to the Refridgerator To grab the jar and when i opened the door my Brothers Gold fell to the floor and the jar bust. I fell to my knees and yelled "NO NOT MY SAUCE".It felt like I lost a loved one. I tried to save as much of the sauce as i could but my mom told me to just give it up. It was so hard to sweep up the glass and throw away all that great tasting sauce. I called Ian and told him what happened. I asked him if he had another jar and he told me they were all out. I was really hurt because For about two weeks all the food i ate had a dry taste without my Brothers Gold. on September 5th Ian came over to my new Apartment and for a house warming gift Ian brought me a new jar of Brothers Gold. I swear it was like being connected with a lost family member. So I just want to say Thank You King family for this Wonderful sauce. Keep em coming!

Like many others, I was infected during an innocent trip to Central Market in Plano. Got sampled and wound up with two bottles. Little did I know that was the "gateway" into a world of hellish addicition. Went back next weekend, and no sauce in stock!!! Took a few weeks for Central Market to get the supply chain right, but now at least I don't suffer from No Sauce Syndrome.

Brothers Heat also goes very well with steamed vegetables, eggs, hamburgers, Asian food. Thank you for perfecting and selling your family recipe.

My wife and I first tasted this BBQ sauce at Costco. I was curious because I could not find any "great" BBQ sauce in Texas. Once I tasted their sauce, it was over. I didn't want to admit it, but this sauce was the best I've ever tasted...even better than my brothers (which was even harder to admit). Then I made the "cheap buyers" mistake. He told us that if we really like it, we should buy multiple bottles because of the promo price...well, I thought he was just trying to make us buy more so we only bought 2. Later on, we went to one of the markets to purchase their sauce again and it was smaller and more expensive than what we purchased at the promo price! I said to myself, "what an idiot"! I passed up a great opportunity to buy this sauce at a bargain! Moral of the story...don't be an idiot like me and buy as much of this sauce as you can...it's worth it!
